WCN TRANSMEDIA GROUP SALUTES "BILL COSBY SHOW" TRANSMEDIA ICON WCN TRANSMEDIA GROUP SALUTES "BILL COSBY SHOW"  "A LESSON IN TRANSMEDIATION"

As a blogger or VLOGGER Video Blogger it is
fast becoming evident that technology now allows us to examine amazing things.  As I continue to learn and team about Transmedia Storytelling the identification of those who have had the largest generational impact is a real cool thing to do.

As I remember Dr. King saying that Longevity has its place.  It is our goal at WCN Transmedia Group to create a body of work that will record the history and adoption of Transmdiation and its incredible financial
benefits when coupled with a Brandcasting Strategy for Social TV Networks. It is our believe that we can build bridges between traditional media and new Social Transmedia.

To accomplish this however, we must examine those that have impacted the medium of television and global Pop culture.  Shows like The Cosby Show, Different World, Malcolm & Eddy, The Steve Harvey Show, In Living Color, and countless shows to many to name have learned from the bar set by Transmedia Icon Bill Cosby. What makes Bill Cosby a Transmedia Icon.  You need only visit www.billcosby.com Every artist can learn a huge lesson of his use of Social Media.

Biography
Charlie Chaplin. Groucho Marx. Richard Pryor. Over the past century, few entertainers have achieved the legendary status of William H. Cosby Jr. His successes span five decades and virtually all media, remarkable accomplishments for a kid who emerged from humble beginnings in a Philly project.
In the 1960s, his stand-up act was a coast-to-coast sensation, spawning a string of hilarious, best-selling comedy albums, which went on to win eight Gold Records, five Platinum records and five Grammy Awards. His role on TV’s I Spy made him the first African-American to co-star in a dramatic series, breaking television’s racial barrier and winning three Emmy Awards. In the 1980s, he again rocked the television world with the The Cosby Show, a gentle, whimsical and hugely successful series that single-handedly revived the family sitcom (and rescued NBC).
With hit movies like Uptown Saturday Night and best-selling books like Fatherhood, Bill Cosby is quite simply a national treasure with the unique ability to touch people’s hearts

A LESSON IN TRASMEDIATION: Inspired by Michael Moon of GISTICS Incorporated, Reported by Jay O'Conner CEO or WCNTV Transmedia Catalyst.

Transmediation entails the optimization grand narratives for engagement and immersion across multimodal (multi-format, multimedia, multi-device) content.
Transmediators use focused imagination and resonance to maintain COHERENCE of their narratives across the Web, print, packaging, signage, and satellite TV as well as beverages, cosmetics and personal care, events, fashion apparel, food, industrial design, and Web services for PCs and mobile devices (including Apps!)
Transmedia practitioners--transmediators--assume a market condition of *hyper-transparency*, wherein the personal truths of each actor (consumer, customer, intermediaries, originating service provider or product innovator, and the entire "upstream" raw material, component, and assembly providers) remain accessible to each other.

Transmedia parallels the emergence of "slow food" and the idea of "soil to plate" and "farmer to diner" — wherein *social* becomes the newest active ingredient in consumption.
Hyper-transparency thus demands the following of all key actors
• Personal authenticity and congruence
• Willing communication and engagement with other stakeholders
• Earned and sustainable trust. This will entail the transformation of marketing--from hucksters putting lipstick on smelly pigs to authentic and congruent "brand advocates" attracting and engaging consumers in conversation, discussion, and reasoned argument.

Who are Transmediators?

We believe that Transmediation will resonate with these stakeholding groups:

• CREATIVES in advertising and marketing services seeking a broader economic framework for their creative work

• Digital "dotcom" BRAND OWNERS seeking effective physical presence of their purely digital brands

• DIGITAL CONTENT INFRASTRUCTURE providers view Transmedia

• MULTIMEDIA PUBLISHERS transforming their content portfolios into active and vibrant guilds, communities, and congresses

What we do? -  Transmedia Match.com

We are building a pipeline to increase the amount of Production that can be released to a Social Networked Audience allowing viewers to instantly buy anything seen via IPTV.

We provide Advertisers the opportunity to use product placement to sell more products to the targeted demo for their product having been invited into the Transmedia Relationship.

We provide Content Owners access to a revenue share opportunity on the click and buy, through rates for each unique impression delivered to that advertiser leading to the interaction with said retail fulfillment operation.

We provide reporting tools for Advertisers and Content Owners as to who clicked, on what item, by time, zip code, IP Address and/or Payment Processing systems for merchandising and fulfillment.

We protect Intellectual Property Online as the monetization is in the click, removing the incentive for bootlegging or restriction barriers from international distribution of content online.

We are building a Sales Team to support Producers to attract Advertisers to monetize their content at all levels from the BIG BLOCKBUSTER STUDIO to a College Student who has the right to Distribution of his Film about anything he wants to say.

The Way Forward

Now technically let’s set this as a given.  If Mark Zuckerberg, Zynga Gaming and the Hulu and others can keep their systems up and running so that 500 million people can be communicating, playing, looking at pictures and spending billions in virtual money for everything from Farmville to Poker, our proposal to monetize streaming video has the expandable capacity via cloud computing and with companies like PayPal, Playspan, Micro transactions are more than possibly in any currency.

Transmediation is here and this is an incredible opportunity to take this to a mainstream audience.

WCN TRANSMEDIA BOOK ALERT THE VIRTUAL HANDSHAKE: OPENING DOORS AND CLOSING DEALS ONLINE

A brand new professional connection of mine on Linkedin introduced me to this book in his first email to me outside of Linkedin  I thought it was a awesome way to connect and move to further discussions.  Check this out and how it applies to promoting both a business relationship and book at the same time.  Here is a reprint of his email and details on how to reach him as we work to expand each others networks.  I thought what a cool way to introduce yourself and show the principles of Transmedia

Email Reprint.

Jay,
Welcome to my LinkedIn network. Many times networks get increased and people accept invitations just for the presentation of a larger number in their efforts to brand themselves. Although that has some benefit, it would be an unfulfilled utilization of resources if that was all it was. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with my content & connections as I will do the same with you and yours.
I would like to start by sharing this Book “The Virtual Handshake” by David Teten & Scott Allen with you. Our connection is testimony to this subject. Moving forward please engage me with any topic or question I can assist you with. I look forward to a strong business relationship between our networks and us.

With appreciation,
Dean R Morris

 By Elizabeth Evans

Audiences, New Media, and Daily Life

  • By Elizabeth Evans.
The early years of the twenty-first century have seen dramatic changes within the television industry. The development of the internet and mobile phone as platforms for content directly linked to television programming has offered a challenge to the television set’s status as the sole domestic access point to audio-visual dramatic content. Viewers can engage with ‘television’ without ever turning a television set on.
Whilst there has already been some exploration of these changes, little attention has been paid to the audience and the extent to which these technologies are being integrated into their daily lives. Focusing on a particular period of rapid change and using case studies including Spooks, 24 and Doctor Who, Transmedia Television considers how the television industry has exploited emergent technologies and the extent to which audiences have embraced them. How has television content been transformed by shifts towards multiplatform strategies? What is the appeal of using game formats to lose oneself within a narrative world? How can television, with its ever larger screens and association with domesticity, be reconciled with the small portable, public technology of the mobile phone? What does the shift from television schedules to online downloading mean for our understanding of ‘the television audience’? Transmedia Television will consider how the relationship between television and daily life has been altered as a result of the industry’s development of emerging new media technologies, and what ‘television’ now means for its audiences.
